This is one of the prettiest and longest Spring seasons we’ve had on the Gulf Coast, I keep saying aloud.  Usually, the cherry tree blooms in February.  Normally, the azaleas also bloom in February and are budded, bloomed, and drooping withered blossoms in the span of just two weeks.  But this year!  Ah, this year…

I read a magazine article recently about a photographer who was asked what he was doing lying on his side outdoors.  The photographer held up his camera and said, “I’m taking photos.”  The traveler looked around at the dry brush and ugliness surrounding them and said, “Of what?”  The photographer said, “Of God.”
This is where I live.

I couldn’t [...]

I’ve uploaded a photo to a post titled A Gift for our Ballerina to show the final project hanging on her wall.
Here’s a peek:

Here’s our Method:

Hang frame on its own onto the wall

Put a nail, pin, tack, or screw into the wall to hold the top of the ribbon to the wall

Tape ribbon ends onto [...]

My birthday present from my man arrived last night.  I jumped up and down, which made the kids jump up and down.
My man didn’t jump up and down.  He’s cool, you know.
This morning, as soon as I possibly could sneak away from the unfinished household chores (“I need to go….uh, feed the goats, kids!”), I went out to feed [...]

Oreo Oops

Oreo Oops, by Lori Seaborg, 2008
What’s wrong with this Oreo?
Discovered by our little guy, age 7.  (Oh, and let’s just say that’s got to be Oreo under his fingernail, okay?)
